3.4 Creating Templates
Templates are an advanced feature and are not a prerequisite for a Compass rollout. We recommend against creating templates during your initial rollout.
Templates enable you to create a series of “golden paths” for developers, taking them through automated configuration experiences.
Using a base Git repository, create templates that include boilerplate code, CI/CD pipelines, preset information, and webhooks. Then, use those templates to quickly create software components that automate repetitive tasks and orchestrate the rest of your tools and systems.
